I think SL is similar to a self-contained OS in itself - so this should work. Anyone tried this?

I could install SL from a partition on an external drive onto another empty external usb drive without a problem. I had 10.5.8 on a drive in the mac, though, so it might be that SL checks any drive for the existence of 10.5. Some folks on the internets report, that it's possible even without any sign of previously installed Leopard..

 

why not just give it a try? :)
