Disk Partion Failed

Hello,

 

I am really new at installing Mac OS on a PC.

 

I downloaded ToH Leopard RC2 I burnt to a dvd and put it into the computer that I want to have it installed in.

 

All the text scrolled down the screen and eventually loaded the Mac Interface to insall the operating system.

 

I go to the Disk Utility menu and select make a new partion. I use the following selections while I am there:

 

Volume Scheme - 1 Partition

 

Format - Mac OS Extended -Journaled

 

Size 149.05GB

 

Options - Guid Partition table

 

I label it leopard

 

When I select Apply it thinks for a second and spits out the following error:

 

Disk Partition Failed

 

Input/Output Error.

 

 

 

This is were I am stuck. I am not sure what to do.

 

Any help would be great
