Skywise_ca
I'm trying to install goatsecx DVD on a biostar i915G-m7 with a Celeron-D 336 CPU and it gets as far as showing a bare desktop with a rainbow spinner, then flips to a blank screen with a cursor in the corner. I've tried disabling audio and adjusting the video RAM to 8M chip and 56 reserved. Anyone have any idea what's stalling the boot process? (The same DVD installed on a laptop just last night, so it's good) Greg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18166-install-boot-fail-with-biostar-915g-and-celeron-d/ Share on other sites
Skywise_ca
Seems it was a BIOS update needed. Once that was done, the installer booted perfectly. Isn't it great when you can answer your own posts? I'll post a final yes/no on this install once it completes.
