Should I go ahead and install the ATI HD Driver since my video card is an ATI HD card? or should I do the Nvidia GT as you hinted before? No, the Nvidia GT was a typo (I am so used to dealing with posters using nVidia rather than AT GFX cards.....LOL).......with an ATI GFX card you should try the new Natit Enabler..... Also if you have a Kalyway 10.5.2 Install DVD available, try booting the DVD with: -v -x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 platform=ACPI|86PC -legacy If you boot into the Installer OK, then in Customize choose: Fonts and Languages [Your choice] Kernel [kernel_922_modbin] Graphics and Audio Drivers [None] Network Drivers [None] Mobo Chipset [Default choice i.e. all] Thirds Application [Your choice] Patches -> Hardcoded SMBIOS [AppleSMBIOS-27-Default] No other selections under Patches Others Patches -> [TimeMachineFix] AMD 10.5.2 Patches -> [AMD_1052_Patch_test_1] If you are able to install successfully, then boot with -v -f..... By the way, while typing your command, on my computer in the command prompt instead of a vertical bar, I got a vertical break? I think it's called, not sure if that makes a difference. Using -v -x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 platform=86PC -legacy got into Kalyway installer on: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ ATI Radeon HD 4670 OR ATI Radeon HD 4850 ASUS M2N-68-AM MB with nVidia chipset Sata HDD and optical drive. BTW have you/can you set your BIOS Storage Mode to AHCI......? You have: North Bridge ATI RX781M South Bridge ATI SB700 although there is a ATI SB700 driver for OS X..........it does not look very hopeful because you have the new AMD Puma Support Processor.....see here in post #7......sorry..... The Voodoo kernel supports almost all recent, and many not-so-recent processors. The list of processors the kernel has been tested on includes : Intel® processors: AMD® processors: • Pentium 4 / D / M • Athlon 64 and X2 • Celeron • Phenom • Core Solo / Duo • Opteron • Core 2 range • Sempron • Atom and e.g. LawlessPPC 10.5.4 for AMD, iPC 10.5.6, iATKOS v4.0a for AMD which are for AMD CPU systems, as well as others such as iDeneb..... And obviously, other people running AMD CPU MOBOS will be able to help you much more and better than I....
