Skafiskafnjak
I've been trying to install Leopard on my comp: GA-P35-DS3P 4gb ram Kingston 800 mhz Nvidia 6600 256mb Quad Core Intel Sata Hard 80 GB (WD I think) Ata Dvd rom I read instructions and searched many topics but yet havent found an answer to my question. Thing is that I did everything that I read about bios settings etc, then installed os and drivers and everything works great until the moment when the system should start. All I have than is blue screen and cursor, even when starting in safe mode. I installed it (OsX86 10.5.6) with iDeneb v. 1.4. I really tried to find an answer before posting so I will be very gratefull to all of you that will help me. That indicates a wrong choice of video driver (whether injector or graphics string approach)......do the following: boot with -s and at the prompt, type the following lines and press Enter key... mount -uw / rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Ge*.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/NV*.kext exit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180877-ive-been-trying-for-12-hours-please-help/#findComment-1231124 Share on other sites

Skafiskafnjak
No, I haven't-yet... I had Nvidia 6600 this morning when I wrote about my problem. Meanwhile its cooler had passed away so now it is 7300 inside but later I will put 9600 (later this evening) and than I will deal with the driver. But your last post already saved me a lot of time. Im dealing with different problem now and only if you have spare time you could reply, if not- im looking forward to another sleepless night. Mac os x got me My problem is: I have hoontech dsp c-port pci card (internal, of course) and external rack interface but os x doesnt seem to see that pci card at all... So Im trying to fix that now. And I know that card is working, I tested it in studio 15 mins ago. Just thinking that his problem and mine sounded the same despite getting to that same blue screen via two different paths. The approach should work but I am guessing you have a Intel GPU so need to remove different kexts.....
