Disk Utility doesn't detect w/ iAtkos and blank screen with iPC

I'm running a Dell Inspiron 1525. I have an iAtkos installer that boots up and when I run disk utility nothing comes up in the left pane.

When I use iPC it loads when i use the "-v" parameter with no fatal errors but then before i get to the OS install screen my screen just goes black.

I saw something about needing a SATA hdd which i'm not sure I have, but I also saw people with Inspiron 1525's using these installs so I'm not sure what to think. AHCI is enabled

Maybe something is wrong with your DVD drive or maybe something with the disks you are using I have perfectly running Mac OS X leopard 10.5.8 I used xXx 10.5.6 and use iDeneb Combo Update 10.5.8

well i'm downloading Kalyway since it seems like the most stable release that i haven't downloaded yet. What are some causes of not seeing my HDD in disk utility? My BIOS automatically has AHCI enabled.
