pennsultimate2
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 1525. I have an iAtkos installer that boots up and when I run disk utility nothing comes up in the left pane. When I use iPC it loads when i use the "-v" parameter with no fatal errors but then before i get to the OS install screen my screen just goes black. Here are my PC specs: <<< System Summary >>> > Mainboard : Dell 0U990C > Chipset : Intel GM965 > Processor : Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo P7350 @ 2000 MHz > Physical Memory : 3072 MB > Video Card : Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family > Hard Disk : WDC (250 GB) > DVD-Rom Drive : HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-T40N ATA Device > DVD-Rom Drive : ELBY CLONEDRIVE SCSI CdRom Device > DVD-Rom Drive : ELBY CLONEDRIVE SCSI CdRom Device > DVD-Rom Drive : ELBY CLONEDRIVE SCSI CdRom Device > DVD-Rom Drive : ELBY CLONEDRIVE SCSI CdRom Device > Monitor Type : X949H - 15 inches > Network Card : MV88SE614x PCIe to SATA2 controller Yukon 88E8040 PCIe Fast Ethernet Controller > Network Card : BCM4310 USB Controller > Operating System : Windows Vista (TM) Home Basic Home Edition 6.00.6001 Service Pack 1 > DirectX : Version 10.00 > Windows Performance Index : 3.5 I saw something about needing a SATA hdd which i'm not sure I have, but I also saw people with Inspiron 1525's using these installs so I'm not sure what to think. Diamondsami
Maybe something is wrong with your DVD drive or maybe something with the disks you are using I have perfectly running Mac OS X leopard 10.5.8 I used xXx 10.5.6 and use iDeneb Combo Update 10.5.8 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180705-disk-utility-doesnt-detect-w-iatkos-and-blank-screen-with-ipc/#findComment-1230565 Share on other sites
pennsultimate2
well i'm downloading Kalyway since it seems like the most stable release that i haven't downloaded yet. What are some causes of not seeing my HDD in disk utility? My BIOS automatically has AHCI enabled.
