Posted August 19, 2009 Share Posted August 19, 2009 Hi everyone, About 6 months ago, i tried installing osx86 on my toshiba laptop, after trying a few different releases, i finally was able to install it, the only problem I had was with wireless. I ended up going back to windows in the hope that we would have an intel 3495 driver soon. Next year I will be taking a computer/music course requiring the use of a mac so i decided to bite the bullet and get the wireless card i needed( a dell 1390) so that i would save a thousand bucks. I was reading up on installation, and one person said that they had to install the card on windows before it would be recognized as an airport card, so i just got my card and installed it in windows, but my wireless light doesn't come on when i flip the switch, and i am not able to recognize any wireless networks. I have tried restarting a couple times. My question is, will the card still work on mac? or is it possible i have a defective card?
