nobrainer
OS Name: Win7 RTM System Model: EVGA 780i System Type x64-based PC Processor Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9650 Windows Directory C:\Windows Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB Video: EVGA GTX280 Primary HD: VeliciRaptor_X - 300g SATA Primary DVD: Pioneer 215D - SATA I am attempting to dualboot iATKOS v7 - I got the partition made from W7, set active etc etc... I spent about 5 hours monday night trying to get the iatkos installed but had trouble with the SATA devices fighting for control, so last night I took my DVD drive adn hooked to a SATA -> USB2.0 converter and it finally booted to the installer... I formatted the Mac partition to Ext / Journaled (whatever the journaled means, but that's not important now unless that is a potential problem), I kicked off the installer with Options for the nForce Network and SATA driver. But did not select anything for "Kernel". The installer would proceed to about 20% and then just sit there (about to the first part of the X of the logo). I let it sit for about 30min and it didn't proceed farther, so I restarted the install and selected the same 'stuff' and let it run over night. This morning I woke up and saw it crashed on the install - Not a lot of it made sense, and naturally I didn't get a screen cap - but I noticed something about "Core3". So I went and turned off cores 2 and 3 (Of Cores 0,1,2,3) of the CPU. I guess my question now is should I be changing something, adding a driver or subtracting a driver? I haven't really seen any screen caps of what settings to choose for a nForce motherboard - though I saw a slightly older thread by mysteriosC(?) that talked about an old version of the build and nForce motherboards. But it had me turning off a lot of the stuff in the bios (like CPU cores) that i was hoping to keep due to a "pet" project I need this for. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
