So I downloaded boot-132 (the original), stuck in the disc, and when I was prompted to hit enter to "boot darwin/x86," I inserted my 10.5.2 disc and was greeted with "NTLDR is missing press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart."

Using a P965 chipset with ICH8 southbridge, E4300 processor, 4 gigs DDR2 and GTX 260 GPU.

Note: when it asks for the boot devices, it (the original, unmodded boot-132 .iso) gives the example that "typical boot devices are 80 (first hdd) and 81 (second hdd). Enter the appropriate hexadecimal code for the boot device."

I don't have Leopard already installed on this drive, I was under the (possibly erroneous?) impression that I could install via the retail dvd (10.5.2 disc).

Ok, so I got the dvd drive to boot (feel utterly noobish with what the hex code for it was), but it still actually won't take the 10.5.2 disc. Hmm...

More reading states that a new kext is needed for the P965 chipset with ICH8 southbridge... note it is a Gigabyte P965-S3. So... since the link in this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114834 to the Generic.iso file is dead, is there another place where I can get this iso from? Or would the DS3 iso posted there by Sabr work?

Maybe a better idea is http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...mp;#entry934112? Hagars iso?

So I downloaded Sabr's and Hagar's .iso, and tried booting both.... with no luck.

Re-reading the posts they made, I feel I may have made an error: is Sabr's .iso a post boot disc for getting the kexts worked out?

Also, still not getting the original boot-132 .iso to work. Read the posts above, but basically it won't load my 10.5.2 retail disc. Checked BIOS and its in AHCI mode..
