jaska73
Hi all, please forgive me if this is a dumb question: I just installed iDeneb 1.5.1 (10.5.7) on my HP DV5-1095 laptop. The installation went fine (the second time: the first time it froze with 7 minutes left, so I had to force shut down, format and re-install), but after the installation the computer always boots to Vista. If I hit Esc at startup, I get to the boot options menu, but only with optical drive or hard drive as options (no OS X partition), and in both cases the Vista will start. I want to keep the Vista in the other partition, and I would like to have a possibility to choose at startup which OS to boot, a la Boot Camp. I expected iDeneb to install something like this for choosing the OS, but no. Is this normal? Now the only possibility to boot OS X is to boot the iDeneb dvd and from there choose the Mac OS partition as the startup disk. (But again the next time the Vista will start.) I would appreciate your help, thanks in advance! My computer: HP DV5-1095 (Core 2 Duo P8400 @2.26, ICH9, IDT, 9600M GT 512, Intel 5100 (won't work), Realtek 8168/8111) While installing I chose: PS2Fix Keyboard, Audio IDT, chipset ICHx Fixed, vanilla 9.6.0, Voodoo BatteryManager, powerOff_OH, NVDarwin 1.2.5 512, IOUSBFamily. -J. P.S. The OS X seemed to work pretty ok when I had the chance to try it (no sleep though) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180354-after-installation-always-boots-to-vista/ Share on other sites
