hi guys, hope you can help me, only sound is not working here but I can't use my hackintosh like this:(

I installed 10.5.6 iDeneb on my HP elitebook 2530p, and what I can see from system profiler regarding built-in audio was:

Intel High Definition Audio:

ID device: 0x103C30E1

ID audio: 12

lspci:

00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:293e] (rev 03)

..more in depth I think I found the actual audio codec being:

00:1b.0 0403: q (rev 03)

Subsystem: 103c:30e1

I tried following the guide sticky (HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working) but could not get the speakers to work :(

I patched the files as described with the correct data I think (0x103C30E1 --> E1303C10 --> dec: 272380129)

after patching the files I see some little improvements with more information available in System Profiler:

Intel High Definition Audio:

ID device: 0x103C30E1

ID audio: 12

Available devices:

Microphone:

Connection: Internal

Speaker:

Connection: Internal

Microphone:

Connection: jack 1/8'

..but still no sound and in system preferences I see no device found. I also tried following the tips I found for the controller 8086:293e in the wiki

Intel Corporation HD Audio Controller [8086:293e] (rev 02)

  • Solution 1: Delete ALCinject.kext, install HDAEnabler.kext & AppleHDA.kext from here Dell_530_audio.zip (front panel headphone/mic work as well as all audio in/out)
  • Solution 2: HDA_ICH9_ALC888.zip (front panel headphone/mic not working)

but both did not work here, I think because of the subsystem codec is different I don't know..

can you help me please? I desperately need help, this is the only thing preventing me to use my hack :(

thanks in advance, bye

  • 1 month later...

VoodooHDA.kext - work on my HP Compaq dc7800 - iDeneb 10.5.6

remove ALCinject.kext, AppleHDA.kext, HDAEnabler.kext and VirtualAudioDriver.kext

fixed audio using VoodooHDA.kext.. that was easy! :o:)

I have some minor problems I have to work on but it is a nice start..

bye!!
