dolan
Hi! I am considering building a hackintosh with a £500 budget, i am wondering if the AMD phenom II X4 955 would work with OS X? Or if AMD works at all? If not, could you recommend any processors which would do the job? I was told, getting Intel would not be such a good idea, because the 775 socket will be obsolete next year due to the i7? P.S If you are not busy, could you recommend some other parts for the computer as well? I.e Graphics cards, Motherboard... Thank you! Hey buddy, well an AMD will require you to use a hacked kernel, making your system not nearly as vanilla as a real mac. I HIGHLY recommend an intel processor. Get a core 2 duo (thats what many real macs use even to this day). Try to get a gigabyte motherboard. A graphics card from nvidia would be good too.
