I have tried many intel 950 kext files and used HEX editor to modify stock files- most of the time I boot to a baby blue screen with no activity. If I install latest iTunes, I can use my iPhone for internet tether. I have been able to install new dsmos and disabler kext and install 10.5.8 combo update without too many problems- I did have to restore a backup of extentions using a usb mouse and OSX86 utilities. Just posting to see if anyone else out there has tried playing around with the new Sony W systems. -lb =^..^= Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179922-sony-vaio-w-netbook-hardware/ Share on other sites

ANy progress on wireless/wired connectivity? Sorry to just now be getting back to you. Been busy the past few days. I have switched out my OEM Atheros WiFi card for a known-working Dell WiFi card (Broadcom chipset), so I have been using WiFi without any issues. I am still trying to find a solution for the AR8132 ethernet card...so far, nothing but dead ends. I was hoping to run across someone on this forum with network card knowledge who would be willing to help me port the ATL2 kext to work with ATL2C hardware [1969:1062]. No such luck thus far. Remind me again, what is the VoodooBattery issue you are having? Odd battery status icons, battery not charging notifications, etc. Any advice on how to reinstall the Voodoo kexts?
