I just purchased a Sony W series netbook and I am trying to get Leopard installed and working.

Model VPCW111XX (white case if you were wondering)

I have tried using the iATKOS 10.5.5 v5i installer with the following options-

Bootloader: PC EFI V9

Decrypters: AppleDecrypt

SMBIOS: EFI Air

Kernel: none- they seem to break the boot

ACPI: Stock

Disabler.kext

PS/2

Drivers during install

VGA: none- intel drivers don't seem to work

Intel AHCI SATA

Laptop battery

______

After install I have working:

keyboard

trackpad

sound (no mic)

bluetooth (will not work on personal area network, but does with headset and mouse)

fan control

Not working:

wireless network

wired network

battery status

video (stuck at 1024x768 no QE [should be at 1366x768])

I was able to get voodoobattery to give a false status.

I have tried many intel 950 kext files and used HEX editor to modify stock files- most of the time I boot to a baby blue screen with no activity.

If I install latest iTunes, I can use my iPhone for internet tether.

I have been able to install new dsmos and disabler kext and install 10.5.8 combo update without too many problems- I did have to restore a backup of extentions using a usb mouse and OSX86 utilities.

Just posting to see if anyone else out there has tried playing around with the new Sony W systems.

Were you able to get your gma950 running at native resolution with wingzero619's driver pack? I am just checking up because I have been working very heavily on this project (Vaio W series) along with wingzero619 and I will try to help you out if you are running into any other issues. ;)

Sorry to just now be getting back to you. Been busy the past few days. ;) I have switched out my OEM Atheros WiFi card for a known-working Dell WiFi card (Broadcom chipset), so I have been using WiFi without any issues. I am still trying to find a solution for the AR8132 ethernet card...so far, nothing but dead ends. I was hoping to run across someone on this forum with network card knowledge who would be willing to help me port the ATL2 kext to work with ATL2C hardware [1969:1062]. No such luck thus far.

Remind me again, what is the VoodooBattery issue you are having?

VoodooBattery just doesnt seem to work properly for me. Odd battery status icons, battery not charging notifications, etc. Any advice on how to reinstall the Voodoo kexts?
