I hate bothering people for help, as I know people usually don't like to help in most communitys, I picked here to try first

Basically using the Ideneb 1.4 install to install on my PC

My system is

giga-byte MA770-UD3

Athlon 64bit 7750

Nvidia 7300 LE video card

audigy 2 value

use a sata drive and sata dvd drive

Iv tried the acpi thing or w/e its called in bios, didn't work

Im not a noob on computers but i am with this

It just gives me a x on the install screen, then I go to the install so it shows u all the info, n hangs up on the searching for drive thing, sorry didnt write down all the stuff, just seen it 200 times, so I remeber most

Is ideneb the best for me?

if its not, whats the next easiest?

also my drives are on master 1 slave 1

should I have them on 0?

what should be changed in my bios? if anything

and anything else you think will help, thank you so much in advanced, Iv been trying to long, seriously make my year if someone could help, thank you again

what are the specs on your mother board

-chipset

-lan

In your bios check to see what hard drive modes U have (IDE, AHCI....).

SATA doesn't have master/slave.... are U using PATA/IDE or SATA? If U don't know open the computer up and look.

On the boot options try a -v and note the last dozen lines.

i know i use sata but i think it says it runs it as sata, it has that, run as raid, then the ahci, i run under sata it doesnt show my drives in the begining, i select ahci, then run sata, then there is another option but i forgot

i redownloaded it, and ima burn a new copy, and try it a few different ways, and then do the -v thing to tell u what it says
