Hi,

So I've just assembled my OSX86 HTPC, and so far, almost everything seems to work just fine.

My setup:

-Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L

-Intel E5200

-3GB DDR800

-Gigabyte 7200GS

-320 GB Hitachi S-ata

- Panasonic TH42PZ70 (42" full-hd plasma with vga and hdmi in.)

So I installed retail OSX 10.5.6 with boot-123, installed all the patches for the mobo, and the bootloader through Uinstaller, and added the Efi-string for the 7200GS.

When I first connected the PC through VGA: No problems at all!

Then I connected an extra DVI-HDMI cable, and the result was this, it just hangs at this screen right after OSX starts booting (Already past bootloader.):

I've tested this over 10 times, and this happens every time both VGA and DVI are connected.

I can't check if this comes up when only the DVI is connected, because my tv only starts showing the image if it is at an HDTV-resolution (720p,1080i,1080p).

So, after that, I did a reinstall of OSX, and instead of the efi-string aproach, I used the natit 0.2 kext.

The result was exactly the same. However, then I came up with the idea to connect to the pc using vnc, and now I've found out that the following works:

1) Start the pc with only VGA connected

2) Wait until OSX is fully booted, and connect to it using VNC

3) Unplug vga, and plug in DVI

4) Use other pc and vnc to go to display settings, and choose "detect displays"

5) Et voila: Crystal clear 1080p output (Hat to use Switchresx to achie progressive output. OSx only gave the interlaced option.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong, because this is far from ideal, and I chose all these parts because they should be among the most compatible around.
