shawn.easter
So here's the deal... I've got 2 1TB Samsung internals. I edit video and do after effects work. I like to use windows for after effects and final cut for straight editing. So this is what I want to do: I want Windows 7 RC on a 300GB partition on the first HD. OSx86 on a 300GB partition on the 2nd. (No problem with this, I can get both installed and running no prob with chameleon 2 for boot.) My problem comes with the next thing. Since there is such a speed benefit to using a separate HD for a video scratch disk (i.e. Not the boot drive), I want to create an HFS+ partition on the 1st HD (The HD I installed Windows 7 on) using the rest of the free space, and an NTFS partition on the 2nd HD (The HD I installed OSx86 on). I can't seem to figure it out. I can't create an NTFS partition on the 2nd hard drive from windows (maybe because it's GPT?), and I can't create an HFS+ partition on the 1st hard drive from osx (drive won't mount, erase fails). And when I use GParted, it messes up my Boot drive (2nd HD that Chameleon and OSx86 are on). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help. I DO have a 500GB external eSata drive, so if the solution involves installing OSx86 and copying, that is feasable.
