anarkien
Hello, everyone! I'm glad to be a part of your community. This'll be my first post here, but absolutly not the last, he-he. Now, I got a question for you guys and girls; I got a VMWare Image from a friend of mine who were playing around with the software + Mac OS X some time ago. It was "MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.5" on the CD. Now, I installed that Image on my VMWare, and everything went (almost) good. It was _slow_, XCode failed to load, and only loaded like 2 out of 20 tries, the rest it just crashed. Sometimes the whole Mac OS crashed and rebooted by itself. So my question is, what VMWare release is the best for me? I mostly want to program in XCode and browse the Internet with it. I downloaded the "Mac.OSx86.Leopard.v10.5.4.Client.Server.OpenSource.INTEL.iSO-JaS" of some site I found, but it was an .ISO file (I didn't see that in the file name at first). VMWare couldn't load it either . Is that a good release? I'm on a Dell XPS 420 workstation. Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Pro. SP 3 Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39 GHz, 3,25GB RAM This are my CPU-Z stats: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=647484 I don't know if you guys actually would like to answer this question as it's kinda "VMWare" question, but I find this forum very helpfull. BTW: Would everything be "fast", such as bootup, startup of programs etc. if I transformed my PC into a Mac (not running VMWare, but actually having Mac OS X running on it) ? Really looking forward to see some answers, guys! Thanks Best regards, Andreas Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179303-best-release-to-vmware-xcode-development/ Share on other sites
