Peter Saldanha
Hey everyone the sole purpose i joined insanely mac forums is cause my tiger installation didn't work and it screwed my windows OS 3 times. the JAS version would go till the Gray mac startup screen and then would show that little white thing with that circle with that slash thing on. i tried to set the mac partition to active, tried to do that -v thing and it used to get stuck right there. and it never worked out very well:( System details Computer is Acer Aspire 4730z Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T3400 @ 2.16ghz 2.17 Ghz RAM :2.00GB OS: Windows 7(right now) that should be it! If u want more info, then the error with the mac it says that it is waiting for the root device anyway I am trying to dual boot Windows7 or vista with OS X 10.4 please respond PS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179016-problems-problems-and-problems/ Share on other sites

user01100
Dude what's with the attitude. Cheer up ! Let's see how we can manage and make you a mac os x user with simple thinking and little effort. First, one question: why tiger and not leopard? But hey, your choice... . If you want leopard talk here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=159177 If you want tiger, i sent you a link with the best distro for tiger for intel cpu. (forget about jas distro) Start from here and then will continue. Peter Saldanha
with this distro? i tried it with JAS and kalyway and it kinda didn't work So if my Vmware OSx86 doesn't work then i might try using leopard and try that trick And btw my BIOS is set to ACHI by default and installation with that also didn't work the whole thing is strange, It works with a Dell mini but why not a good acer laptop?
