I am trying to get this done to prove to myself I CAN get something done correctly.

System Specs are as follows :

T7300 Core 2 Duo
2 GB 333MHz
Geforce 8400M GS
Dell Wireless 1490 Dual Band
Sigmatel HD 92xx

As per iATKOS(md5 checked disk) guide for dual boot, I created an active FAT32 partition using GParted and booted the disk. This is photo that I had to take : iatkosv7boot.jpg

Edit :

I tried boot option cpus=1 -v and i got this iatkosv7boot-cpu1-v.jpg

I shall be looking around elsewhere as well but if someone can help me out, that would be great.
Note : I am an ultra-NOOB as per OSX standards. Can hold my own very well in Win9X and Ubuntu. Advice may be given based on that understanding :)

Here's the latest deal :

Okay I got it to boot using

mach_970 -v

but when the Installation screens come up, there are no partitions ( the fat32 partition i created using gparted). Opening the Disk Utility, it shows up and when I try to erase the volume to Mac OS Extended Journaled it says

Cannot allocate memory

. I go to gparted convert the FAT32 into HFS+ in hope that it would show up before Disk Utility itself, it does not and the same happens when i try to access it from Disk Utility.

What am I doing wrong here ?

What am I doing wrong here ?

Clean sweeped the entire partition table in Gparted followed by erasing with zeros on Disk Utility followed by creating a HFS and a fat partition with disk utility. Installed without any prompts nor problem. All the while keyboard, touchpad and usb mouse were working. Upon reboot the Chameleon screen came up and asked which partition i wanted to choose. Using the keyboard I selected the OSX partition. Welcome screen comes up with music ( on the laptop speakers itself, which seems pretty awesome considering other Vostro users have had a lot of grievances regarding the same ) and video playing fairly well ( choppy when compared to windows) and then it says FIRST CONNECT A KEYBOARD !!!! All the while it was taking the keyboards help to get through chameleon and now no keyboard.

Now What? Do I try to do some custom install ( what and how is that to be done? ) or have I done something wrong already and need to redo the process( if so how, again?).
