Installing OSX first time

I've been going back and forth between linux distros and versions of windows for 2.5 years now, and I've really been wanting to try OSX, so I have a few questions.

 

I have a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150, as far as i know it won't work right, something about quartz or somethin. But what does that mean? Will I still be able to use the internet? flash? will I still be able to get 1280x800 resolution?

 

I have an AMD Turion 64, will that work?

 

I know macbooks have that two finger scrolling, and with my laptop I can get that on linux, will I be able to get it on OSX?

 

Will the dock still work right?

 

Which distro should I use?

 

I have this laptop anything else I should know?
