Hello peoples, I wonder if you could me.

This is the first time I've tried installing OSx86 & I've hit one or

two problems.

The computer I'm using is an Acer Aspire One netbook & have opted for

the iDeneb installer...

The first and most annoying of my problems is the keyboard doesn't

seem to work properly. There seems to be a key being pressed

constantly which results in the operating system beeping repetatively.

It's not always the same key, once it was 7. At the moment it seems to

be the left key, which makes it impossible to type anything!

This is definitly not a hardware fault, I've checked a number of times

in Windows.

Which brings me onto my second issue. I had Windows XP on a seperate

partition my drive, which booted fine. Since installing iDeneb which

included the Chameleon bootloader I am unable to boot Windows. I get

as far as the Chameleon loader which gives the option to select my

Windows partition, whenever I select it, the selection jumps straight

back to the Mac partition... I am able to boot windows if I change the

active partition using fdisk in terminal (using the iDeneb DVD)

This is really frustrating - how do I just install 'Darwin Bootloader

OSX86'? - I'm not bothered about a GUI, just whatever I can do to be

able to dual boot...

I've tried FixMBR using the Windows & using Hiren's boot disk...

Hope these makes sense! - I'm using my phone to write this, so

appologies for any mistakes.

Any help is really apprieciated!

Right, well I found a set of .Kext files specific for my Acer Aspire One. Only trouble is I can't install them via Leopard, this is because I can't login as the keyboard starts entering the repetitive text in the password & I can't click log in quick enough before it starts... I tried booting from the DVD and installing the Kexts via terminal & the keyboard issue is still occurring.

I thought I'd try to uninstall the Kext file for the keyboard, which would allow me to reinstall the Kexts using Leopard. I removed ApplePS2Support (or similar name) but the issue is still occuring. I assume a different Kext file is being used & possibly the wrong one, resulting in the keyboard having issues...

What's strange is the keyboard works fine in the iDeneb boot disk. I wonder if I should try deleting/renaming the entire Extensions folder, then adding just the Kexts I mentioned above...

Any further suggestions are really appreciated!
