hab_hockey
Ok so I have XP as my first partition and Windows 7 on another (both primary) but I want to install Mac over the Windows 7 partition (dual boot XP and Mac) so this is where my first question comes: 1. Do I format my Windows 7 partition or leave it and/or do I change the type (because it is NTFS)? This is my laptop with all its specs: here 2. It has SSE2 but NOT SSE3 so I was wondering if I need a patch? I've already downloaded iDeneb 10.5.7 and burned it to a dvd When I restarted my computer and booted from the disc, I got to this screen: and then a symbol came up (the circle with the diagonal line through it) and it just stayed there and wouldn't go into the installing screen. (the animated circle just kept going around) I tried this 3 times and the no access sign thingy came up all 3 times. So please help me fix my problem. EDIT: I applied a the patch following a tutorial from this site: here But one of the things I got was a bit different: Mine Tutorial: Some patch validation failed on mine so will it still work?
