I'm new to OSx86 and recently got Leopard 10.5.7 installed from a retail DVD onto my PC. The only things that aren't working now are my NVIDIA card and my sound. After looking in verbose mode, I saw some kexts aren't loading because of this error:

loaded version 2.4.1 of module com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily differs from requested version 2.5

I've looked inside IOPCIFamily.kext and both Info.plist and version.plist say that it's version 2.5. I also tried extracting and installing the IOPCIFamily.kext 2.5 from the 10.5.6 Combo Update and that didn't do anything. Even though I'm positive I have version 2.5, it seems to somehow be loading 2.4.1. Anyone know what's going on?

Ok, never mind, I fixed it. I tried actually loading 2.4.1 and it worked!

Could you please be more specific about how do you fixed it? I have the same problem, but the loaded version is 2.4 in spite of plist indicates that it is 2.6. Is there a way to especify which version to be loaded?

Thank you.
