A newbie needing help.

Hi there,

 

I’m new to all of this so please bare with me and try to explain everything in nontechnical terms if you can. I am going to try to install Mac OS X Leo on my computer and would love some directions on where to start.

 

Specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R

Processor: Intel Core i7 920

Video: HIS Radeon HD4850

HD: Seagate SATA 500gb

RAM: 6gb DDR3 3x 2gb

 

I will not be setting up a dual boot system. I will only be using OS X. I don’t understand what a kext is so if someone could explain it to me that would be awesome.
