Iwidarwin 3945 a/b/g

I installed this driver on kalyway 10.5.1 on my dell vostro 1700 and to a certain extent i think it worked, no k.p no blue screens or any other problems !

i went on a setting and my intel 3945 driver was recognised but inactive !!

 

is this the same case for everyone else who has previously tried to install the driver ?

if anyone would like any more infomation that wouldn't be a problem

the short story... There is no correctly working drive, yet. We've been waiting for many years for this driver, so be prepared to either be patient or spend $20 and buy a new card. There is a relatively new project though that has already produced a driver for the 2200 abg, and the same person has started working on the 3945, so hopefully relatively soon we will have a functioning driver. There is also a thread here entitled something to the effect of "iwidarwin 2200 3945 driver". Its a very long thread, and you can skim through a few pages to see how its going. Supposedly there is a guy who is working on this driver under a seperate project, and more recently has become more active by posting "alpha" code for people to test. He was probably the first one to start working on this project, but then vanished claiming the need for money, and wasn't really heard of again until the project camphor started. Once Mercurysquad (creator of project camphor) stated his interest in making this driver, this older project suddenly came alive again.

Anyways, hopefully from one of these two projects we will get some functioning drivers, but don't expect them tomorrow. Check back to the project camphor website often though, as I believe he will soon be the first to release a functioning 3945 solution.
