monarck
I'm running iAtkos v7 (10.5.7) and the thing that bothers me the most is this area of white at the bottom of my screen. I should be running at 1280x800 (always worked in both Windows and Linux), but the closest Leopard will let me choose is 1280x768. Higher options are available even though my hardware can't handle it, but no 1280x800. I've tried the "Graphics Mode"="1280x800x32" option at boot, but to no avail. During installation, I chose the Intel GMA 950 Laptop driver option, but did not go with the Intel EFI string option. Should I try that? (I don't even know what it is...) My chipset is Intel 965 Integrated and my video card follows suit (Intel G965). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks
bradley.
I'm having a rather similar problem using iAtkos v7. I'm using Intel GMA 945 on my Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop, and I can only get the resolution 1024x768. I'm supposed to have 1280x800 and I installed the GMA 950 driver at install. I couldn't get the "Graphics Mode"="blahblahblah" to work, either. I also tried using SwitchResX, but I couldn't get it to work. I didn't use the Intel EFI string option... Don't know what it is... Sorry if I don't make sense, for I'm a newbie to osx86.
monarck
I'm gonna install Kalyway 10.5.2 over my original iAtkos v7 system today and see if it helps at all. If it doesn't, I'll go ahead and upgrade to Kalyway 10.5.3. Also, I've found some possibly helpful information at this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...=89257&st=0 . You should follow along and try what you can so it won't be only me. I'll post my results and any solutions that I might come across. BTW, my avatar expresses how I've felt throughout this entire osx86 installation process...
monarck
Well, I've tried the above, but nothing worked. No matter what I did, I was always stuck with 1280x768 resolution. After trying iDeneb and Kalyway again with different settings and boot commands, I've finally given up and gone back to Windows 7. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Good luck.
