ethereal123
Hi All, I am new here and this is my first post. I downloaded latest built of iATKOS v7 (from mininova), extracted and burnt image to DVD RW with nero 8. I hava a triple boot system (win 7, XP and ubuntu) and system specs are as: * Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2600 (SSE3) * 1GB DDR2 RAM (Upgraded to 1.5GB) 533MHz * 80GB SATA HD * Intel® 945PM Express Chipset - 667MHz Bus * NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS 110M grpahics card 16xPCI-E 128Mb * Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945A/B/G Wireless Card * Intel® 10/100/1000 Ethernet Card * MAT{censored}A DVD-RAM UJ-841S * Toshiba Bluetooth * iLink Firewire * Sigmatel Audio. Problem: Soon after booting into the DVD, screen appeared asking to press any key.....>next screen showed hd(2,1) iATKOS v7...> Enter...> cursor rotation for sometime.....>screen with apple logo appeared....>and a list of errors (screenshot attached) and everything stalls here. I had to force shut down. Following first incident I tried several times, no success. I burnt new image with different burner...no success. Also tried going through -v command (screen shot attached). Any help will be greatly appreciated. hailstorm350
I get the same exact kernel trap page error 14. My issue has been narrowed down to either Motherboard or faulty ram. I have inconsistent Ram sticks, and a new motherboard costs a fair bit. LordVesalius
Hi everyone, i hope its not too late to reply... I managed to install (almost) successfully iATKOS v7 on a Toshiba tecra m7 (tablet). i encountered the same error, its an incompatibility with multicore on some motherboard/cpu combination. the solution is very simple: before installing you have to enter the BIOS (ESC, then F1 right after turning the computer on) and make sure that "Execute-Disable Bit Capability" is on (enabled) then at iATKOS DVD boot prompt (before darwin start to load) hit F8 at the and then type: "cpus=1" (without quotes) and hit ENTER thats it! then in during customization you have to select DSDT, to enable OSX to use all cores in the final install, and voila. i managed to install the tablet features as well, and work like charm (yes i have a mac tablet), i'm writing this on my m7, with my pen as mouse . But i couldn't install the quadro NVS 110m correctly... i'm still struggling with that. and there are a few features (wifi, bluetooth) that don't have drivers at all, at least by now. Good luck guys! StormWarner
If you're getting a Kernel fault, have you attempted to choose one of the VOODOO kernels during your customization before install???
