Bassendad
I would be extremely grateful if someone could steer me in the right direction, Problem: This version is the only one I can get to boot on my system. When darwin boots and I enter -v, -x, -s or cpu=1 it reboots right away. When I hit -f it starts to load the files and then about 3/4 of the way through it reboots. It never stops at the end. So I don't know what kernal panic i have if any. Please help me if you can I think I might be able to get this version to work Kalyway 10.5.2 Computer: Compaq Presario CQ50-107NR Notebook Processor: 1.90 GhzAMD ATHLON X2 QL-60 DUAL CORE Motherboard: Wistron 360a Chipset: Nvidia GeForce 8200M Hard Drive: Western Digital WDC WD1200BEVS-60UST0 ATA DEVICE Dvd Drive: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633L ATA Device Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176889-kalyway-1052-problem/ Share on other sites
Bassendad
I thought maybe the default kernal was the wrong one but according to the install instructions the default voodoo kernal used is the right one. So I guess I am back to square one. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176889-kalyway-1052-problem/#findComment-1210773 Share on other sites

Bassendad
Thanks for all the help. I thought forums with hundreds of people would generate at least a basic answer to most dilemmas. I see I was wrong. I guess I will have to jar loose with some cash and buy a real mac. bcolumbia
Well hold on there. I totally understand where you are coming from. I think this might help: Try to disable some Kernels or the dsmos (don't steal mac os) by trying just this: -v -chameleon -dsmos then try to add -x if that doesn't work Now, also you must understand just because your specific laptop PC doesn't make the best hackintosh doesn't mean there aren't excellent ones out there. If you want some references if this still does not ork I'd be glad to point you to cheaper alternatives as well. Hope a shed a little light on your troubles. -Bill Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176889-kalyway-1052-problem/#findComment-1210897 Share on other sites
