The New Guy
Well I decided to finally build my Hackintosh, Im gonna buy an "Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Wolfdale, Dual-Core, Retail, Socket 775" but I do not know which motherboard should I get I was thinking about "MSI G31M3-L V2 Motherboard" http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1572 or "Biostar G31M7TE Intel G31 Socket 775 Motherboard" http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1572 or "Intel DG31PR Motherboard" http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1572 or last but not least "Gigabyte G31M-ES2L Motherboard" http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1572 This are the only ones that I can afford and I will really appreciate if someone would tell me which one of this would run better with the Processor, also the case that I have to use has a motherboard that is Length 9.6 X Width 8.6 and I would like to use and mother board that is a little bit bigger than that or smaller but not to small. I have all the other parts Memory Ram. Hard Drive, DVD Drive and Video card an XFX 9500GT 1 GB . I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this, thanks before hand. Cheeeeeeeeers!!! realityiswhere
Can you please tell me why you posted in "Forum Information and Feedback"? I'm genuinely curious, so we can make changes so that people post legitimate Forum Info & Feedback in there, and not help requests, which get really annoying to move. broken
Save yourself the hassle and just get the GA-G31M-ES2L. Its a known, proven board that works very well with OS X. weaksauce12 has even but together a guide for using this board: http://leopardsoup.pbworks.com/es2l Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176412-help-building-my-hackintosh/#findComment-1208473 Share on other sites

broken
Would it be the best for the processor? Also do you think my video card is ok, to rum iMovie and handle evreything else? sorry about these questions It will work perfectly with that processor. I just picked up one of the ES2L's myself and considered the e8200 but decided on the Q8200 instead. But the e8200 would be a great cpu for a Hack. And that video card would be more than enough for iMovie and most all other tacks besides high end gaming.
