b34td0wnx
Been messing around with this install for about two weeks, and finally managed to get an almost perfect installation. Firstly, I used the iPC 10.5.6. distro, and installed with the voodoo kernal, nforce chipset drivers, alc662 audio driver, and no video driver. I also had to select a ps2 fix for my keyboard. My hardware as follows ; nvidia 9500gt 512mb dual dvi phenom 9550 2.2 quad n61p-s mobo 4gig of ram ide drive salvaged from an old dell I said near perfect, so I have a few problems that I can probabbly fix later. My cd drive won't work, won't eject/read discs, at all, not a big deal to me. My lan doesn't work. It uses the Realtek PHY8201EL-GR/RTL8201CL lan driver. I've seen a few drivers for this, so I'm going to check those out. I installed my video drivers exactly as described in this thread using the 10.5.6 things he added down the posts. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...aded&start= I had to plug my monitor into the other port on my video card, otherwise I stared at a blue screen, but once I plugged it into the different port it was fine. Everything else works. No lags, applications install, no video problems, resolution works, quartz gl works. I just have to fix my lan driver and possibly cd drive. Not sure if this is the right section for this either, but if not then one of the mods can move it to the right place. If you have hardware similar to mine, ask me a question about how I did something and I'll reply. I wanted to help out a bit, since if it wasn't for the majority of you I wouldn't have this installed. Thanks guys.
