iToxic Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 First off, I have installed it successfully (iPC 10.5.6) and it was awesome. Easy install (except for choosing drivers - I had to guess because I don't know how to find them all. I have the basic specs from the Gateway website, as well as the ones from Newegg and Bestbuy. Though I did download SIW) Anyways, the install went good meaning I randomly chose the right drivers (mostly Intel because I thought the majority of my hardware was generic). Great except the wireless - none. Anyways, I figured that because I guessed on most of it, I was probably bound to run into issues. So... I would like to know if anyone has had a completely successful install of OSx86 on a Gateway MD7818u (the u doesn't matter - iThink) Also, I would like a complete tut on how to go about finding my specs and which version of OSx86 is the easiest to install 10.5.7 and ALL the drivers I should select. I realize the drivers will have to be told to me once I have posted all my specs... so, I can give my email but I am gonna run SIW and probably post all of the info... I don't know what is necessary and what is not. Um... wow. That is a lot of stuff. Perhaps someone should just tell me exactly which sections to look under and what to post from those sections.
