Hey all. First of all, just wanted to say what a great community this is, full of very helpful and knowledgable peeps. Here is my rig I'm trying to get working.

Mother board: Gigabyte EP45-ED3L

Video card: Gigabyte 9500GT Ultradurable2 over DDR3

Processor: Intel E7400

Hard drive: WD 1TB (SATA2/8M)

Ram: Samsung DDR2 2G PC2-6400

DVD: Samsung DVD-ROM SH-D163B (I just went with a SATA DVD ROM as I have an external dual layer dvd I will use when up and running )

Power: Heroichi HEC-Raptor 500WP

I set the up the bios using these steps (minus voltage and clocking and other stuff I wasnt quite sure about. I just used the settings that I thought were required) http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessag...?topic_id=95364

I have used both BOOT-KABLY-BUMBY and grub-dfe. I arrive at the boot screen, switch over to the DVD and press enter. It says it uses the default as fe(is this because I use SATA?) After this, the DVD starts spinning and after a moment it reads "EBIOS read error: Error 0x04 Block 0 Sectors 64". I have searched around and haven't found any ebios read errors with these numbers. I came across somthing that mentioned it could be a bad DVD but I have booted with this in my past on my macbook. I will try finding another copy and burn it at 1x to see if that remedies as my original DVD is quite old and worn now. Could it also be my cheap DVD ROM. I have an external LG GSA-E4OL DVD Rewriter. Is there any way that I can boot from this to try it if my new Leopard doesn't work? Anyone else have any other suggestions. Thanks for the help!
