I have the Acer Aspire 5100 laptop (Actualy it is 5102 - has a little slower processor) and quite a few driver problems. I need Osx to run the iPhone SDK when I am not at home where I have an iMac. What I need is to run the iPhone SDK and nothing else.

Here are some specifications:

- Amd Turion 64 2,2Ghz processor

- Ati Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset (with integrated graphic card)

- 1GB RAM

- Atheros AR5BXB63 wifi module (that is written on a sticker on the bottom side)

- PS2 touchpad/keyboard

So I upgraded the system to 10.5.7 and the keyboard and touchpad stopped working. So how can I get them to work again (a little more about that problem here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=176002.

And now the most important thing - the graphic card. I don't need the QE/CI - I just need the native resolution of 1280x800. I found this and somewhere I read that this should work with my graphic card: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35345. It doesn't! No resolution options - just plain old 1024x768. It installs correctly and when I run the post install script I enter the device id 5975 and when it asks me if I want to check the automatic detection and if I chose yes then it gives me an error that automatic detection failed and continues with the install. And then it says that it installed correctly (but there are a lot of permission denied errors in the output). But I can't run it again with no keyboard.

And then there is the wifi. If there are drivers for the module it would be nice but it isn't the most important thing.

I managed to get the keyboard and the trackpad working with these kexts:

Problem is that now my USB mouse doesn't work!

I noticed that I can't use the USB port for external HDDs and USB keys - when I plug one in nothing happens.

It seems that after the upgrade to 10.5.7 even the screen resolution started to work - I now have my native screen resolution!
