Hello,

i just got leopard 10.5.7 (IPC) running on my machine and "basically" everything works. I am very impressed.

However, as a newb i have the following questions:

How do you know which driver/kext is "best"...and is there a place on the net with a list of all drivers? For example...distro comes with the option to select nvdarwin, nvinject, nvsomething....how do you know what's "best"?

The only problem i have right now is a minor mouse-lag...eg. if i move my mouse, all 3 secs or so it is stuck for a fraction of a second and is "jumping". Nothing minor, but i still want to fix it.

Here is my config, and i would appreciate if someone can give me pointer to what drivers to use:

DFI X38 T2R Mobo/ICH9 Southbridge, 4GB Ram, Intel Quadcore 6600 at 3536Mhz, Gefore 8800 GTS (G92)

Logitech MX518 Gaming mouse (plugged into USB right now)

Onboard Realtec ALC885 Sound (YES, got this working!!)

Hello my friend! Well, did you can make it your Graphics card run with QE/CI enabled?

You have hardware aceleration? For me here, two things i make it to kill the mouse lag: First, i change the conector of the monitor to the other DVI port. In Windows, i always use that connector in the right side. In the OSX, change to the left side. After change to left side, in Windows works ok too.

Other thing, during the installations of the OSX, i don't select video driver. Yes. No Injector, no Macbook, no EFI, nothing. No driver. After the install, everythng ok. Open the Extensions folder, delete all Geforce*.*.kexts and NV*.*.kexts. Don't reboot yet.

Go to the OSX86Tools. If you know how, add a EFI String to 8800GT Graphic card. (if you don't know how, google after this tags "aquamac efi how to"). Don't reboot yet.

Run the 9f23installer.pkg (google it), delete the Extensions.mkext (Use OSX86Tools for that), repair permissions (i always repair my permissions after any change) reboot, in the kernel flag, select "-f" (without quotes) and voilá. Mouse lag goes away!

Note: I have a 9800GTX+ Point of View Graphic Card and the only way to make it work in QE/CI are using 8800GT Efi String.

Hope i can help!

Sorry about my poor english.
