Hello all,

I will try to be as clear as possible. I have tried a number of methods to install onto my Lenovo s10-2 netbook via an 8gb flash drive. I can get the netbook to boot from the flash drive using different distro's, but so far msiwindosx86.iso is the only that makes it anywhere. The netbook is currently running XP sp3, with a second empty partition formatted as fat32 so OSX could recognize and format.

My process: 1 partition on flash drive (mac os extend journaled, MBR) labeled OSXDVD

restore msiwindosx86.iso onto drive.

OSX86 tools 1.0.150 -- install EFI "No EFI (Darwin Bootloader)"

ran "Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk.pkg" and installed on flash drive

Then on the s10-2 I changed the flash drive to be the first to boot, and set the HD to "compatible"

I have tried installing as normal, and with -x, but always ends the same way. I get to the first blue screen where there is no mouse cursor. From what I can find on the forum, the problem is that it is defaulting to a dual screen setup, and my lcd is the slave/secondary. I have tried hooking the vga out into my Dell 2005fpw Monitor, but the screen just turns black on the netbook and nothing shows on the monitor. I also found someone recommending to plug it in before I boot up the computer, but this leads to the same black screen on both rather than the blue screen.

And I know it is not frozen, because I can hit keys and see the flash drive processing something. If I could navigate the install blindly I would.

Any install options that I could try? Any other solutions someone may know of?

Hi. A friend of mine :thumbsup_anim: got 10.5.7 succesfully on the Lenovo s10-2.

Working: Everything, except webcam.

Used iATKOS 10.5.7 + eee VGA Kext.

Currently the netbook has a hard drive with Linux, for school, but we got the hard drive with OSx 10.5.7, so if some guru here wants a log or something from the HD, just tell what/how.

Cheers!

Also tried the MSI WIND VGA kext, it also works to fix screen resolution on 10.5.7 iAtkos
