Evargho Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 I'm having some Hackintosh problems, i need all the help i can get. In iPC 10.5.6, after i put in -v, -x, or cpus=1 my pc restarts too fast for me to even see the errors. In iDeneb 10.5.6 i had success installing but when it rebooted it got stuck at the gray apple logo, so i tried putting in cpus=1 before boot and this time a spinning circle showed up under the apple logo, i went afk for about 30 minutes then came back and it was still there, so i just turned the PC off becuse i got bored of watching it. And also some guides say to mod your bios, some say to edit the settings, and some dont say anything about touching the bios, i'm so confused. I really didn't know what to do so i enabled ACPI, and set my SATA to AHCI. Is there anything else i need to set in bios, or do before i install. Let me know if you need to know anything else. Customizations: Azalia NVdarwin 512 Tried with Vanilla, then Voodoo, same results All applications All utilities My PC: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3 GHZ Patriot DDR2-800 2x2GB RAM Asus P5Q SE mobo 500 GB SATA HDDha nVidia GeForce 9800 Atheros AR8121 Update: I just installed Kalyway 10.5.2, installation went flawlessly after i moded my BIOS. But there are some still some issues: I have to boot from Kalyway installation disk or i get the "HFS+ partition error" If i want to boot Windows 7 i need to change my SATA setting from IDE to AHCI I want to dual boot with Windows 7 and OS X Drop down menus are blank, just plain white boxes, i can see the mmenu items for a split second by clicking outside the menu, the only way i can select menu items is by clicking outstide the and and remembering where the menu item was located in the blank box and click there Ethernet doesnt work - adapter isnt recognized or doesn't show up Sound doesnt work DVD drive doesnt work I want to fix all there problems without reinstalling OS X, if possible PS2 mouse and keyboard mouse dont work after i updated to 10.5.6, and i don't own a USB mouse, only keyboard... HELP?!?!?!?
