mr_christer
Hey guys, do you have this folder at /Library/Logs/Panic Reporter After having the system running for a day without issues i got the grey screen to restart. I wanted to check what caused the Kernel Panic (is it necessarily a kernel panic?). On the Apple page it says that in 10.5 Kernel Panics are recorded in /Library/Logs/Panic Reporter but I don't have this folder... does anyone know why this folder is missing. Is there another way to check what caused the panic. I didnt find much useful infos in the console either.... mr_christer
noone? update: solved it myself: when there is a kernel panic on a real mac information is saved in the nvram, but because x86 bios doesn't have nvram osx doesn't create the kernel panic logs. but it is possible to see what went wrong when osx panics... just type debug=0x100 in the chameleon bootloader (just start typing when the boot loader appears, you will see what you type in the lower left corner) when you experience a kernel panic now it will output the information on screen instead of just showing the grey apple logo and the "please restart" text.
