Hi all,

I installed Mac OS X 10.4.6 HoTiso on my computer yesterday, dual booting with Windows XP (chain0 method). Installation went fine, and MacOS shows properly in my boot menu. However; when I boot into the OS this is what happens:

1. I see lots of messages (too fast to read them) about loaded drivers (something like HFS: driver loaded from /System/Library/IO/USB-1337.io) -v does not help to get them to show in a slower rate.

2. The screen then blanks, for 4 seconds nothing happens.

3. The computer reboots.

Providing -v -x or -f won't help, still the same result.

My computer:

Asus p4p800 (on the compatibility list)

Intel Pentium 4 3Ghz with Hyperthreading

ATI Radeon 9800Pro

I hope anyone can provide me the solution for my problem for I am running out of ideas. I've tried many boot options like supplying a Graphic Mode. Nothing seems to make a difference though.

Thanks for your help,

Hey, sorry if this is thread hijacking but I'm experiencing the same problem. I am running the hotiso 10.4.6 version and I don't see any extra packages. It seems at the packages for SSE I,II,III, and AMD are all in one group. How can I only install 1?

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

sorry, just figured it out. Apparently I'm too retarded to find the expand button.

Just in case anyone is still having this problem, I'm pretty sure what you're doing, is that, you are selecting the AMD patches during install when you need the intel ones, you have to specifically enable the patches in the custom install panel, otherwise if you install all of them, you'll get one's you don't need, and when the system is booting, you'll crash and reboot when it tries to load the AMD driver (on your intel chip!).
