Hey everybody!! This is My version of how to Dual boot windows XP and OSX!

Formatting the partitions

Partition your HDD with 2 Primary partitions (logical WILL NOT work) Using gParted will work best

Link: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gparted...-3.iso?download

gParted is a Linux live cd. the image is ~30mb. Burn it to a standard CD and boot.

Save changes to your HDD and reboot

Installing XP

If you have xp installed and already have a second partition, skip this step.

Boot from your windows XP install cdand install windows XP onto your First PRIMARY partition (C Drive).

After you have installed your windows XP, Continue to read.

Installing OSX

boot from your OSX dvd, and format the second primary partition to Journaled.

name this Partition "Apple Mac OSX"

On the final screen select "Customize Install" and select the appropriate patches (Intel will require the 10.4.6 Patch, the Intel sse2 and sse3 (if applicable), if its an amd, select the AMD enabler, 10.4.6 patch and the AMD sse2 patch and sse3 (if applicable)

Once your install completes, boot back into XP

(If you cannot boot into XP, insert your OSX dvd and sleected the windows xp partition and boot from it.)

Configuring Dual boot

Once in windows XP you will reliise that you CANNOT see the OSX parition. This is normal. With your OSX dvd inserted, copy the file Chain0 to your c:\ directory.

Open your boot.ini file (if you dont know how, just open internet explorer and type c:\boot.ini into the adress bar)

at the bottom of the list add this entry

c:\CHAIN0="Apple Mac OS X x86"

Save the boot.ini file

right click on my computer, select "MANAGE" Select Disk management on the left hand side. Right click on your C drive and select "Set partition as active. If it is already active continue and reboot your machine.

You will now be prompted with a OS selection screen.

Select OSX and you will be booted into OSX
