LadyChibby
Hi! I'm new to Insanely Mac and the whole 86 project... A friend of mine built a hackint0sh for me and I just cracked it open yesterday! Because my friend is a genius everything was running fine. It's me that's the dummy... I setup the Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11 b/g (the moon-looking one, with InsanelyMac's help-thank you) and everything was still fine. I also setup file sharing between my laptop and desktop...still, all was well. This morning I booted up the hackmac and it hung at the Apple screen. I came onto InsanelyMac again to do more research, and I saw where I can do the -v thing in the boot sequence to see exactly where the hackmac was hanging. So when I did it hung at the following code: July 15 07:41:18 CeCes-Desktop com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.mDNSResponder[34]): posix_spawnp("/usr/sbin/mDNSResponder", ...): No such file or directory CeCes-Desktop is what I named the desktop while I was either setting up the Airport or file sharing (I'm not 155% sure, though I want to side with file sharing). I believe that once I'm in the system I can change/or delete this, but I need to know how to bypass it in the boot sequence. I've tried -x for safe mode. No luck. I've tried -F. No luck either. Can I bypass this directory with code or do I need to boot from a disk? Since this is a hackmac, is there a special boot disk I need? I'm running 10.5.9 (I believe). Thanks so much!
