digimars
I have a Compaq Presario r3340us laptop. 768MB RAM, AMD Athlon 64 processor, Nvidia NForce 440 Go 64MB video card, and a Toshiba DVD+R drive, not sure about the rest. (Yeah it's plugged in). I insalled the 10.4.5 Myzar DVD, took about 9 hours to install it. On first boot, it is the slowest thing I have ever seen. I tried some tips out that I found, but they haven't worked. I tried searching for the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTPMACPI.kext file, but I don't have that one. I tried booting with the platform=X86PC option, did nothing to help out the slowness. Any suggestions? I would like to get this working. Thanks in advance for any help!
