Meikj
Hi. I've installed iATKOS v7 and everything is going great. I had to install the legacy ApplePS2Controller in the setup for my keyboard and touchpad to function. The stock 10.5.7 PS2 drivers wouldn't allow my built-in keyboard and touchpad to function at all. However, as a result only the physical buttons allow clicking. My laptops mouse buttons are wearing out so it can be difficult to click at times. To solve this I tap-click using the touchpad, but using these drivers I cannot do this. There isn't an option in the mouse preferences either. I've tried other drivers but they don't give me tap-clicking. So has anyone encountered the same problem as me? I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks. Meikj
I've got closer to the solution. It seems after I put the laptop to sleep the touchpad functions fully. That means tap clicking is enabled. But unfortunately after I restart the system this functionality disappears until I put it back to sleep. What could this mean? Has this got something to do with the AppleACPIPS2Nub kernel extension? During the installation I read the logs and it reported replacing that same extension as well as ApplePS2Controller. I have tried replacing the ApplePS2Controller with numerous other kernel extensions (found quite a few on the MSI Wind forums OS X section). However, I have not tried replacing AppleACPIPS2Nub because I have no idea what to replace it with. I would appreciate some help on the subject. Thanks.
