HELP!

I have tried 2 different copies of Leopard and none of them are working correctly.

XxX X86 10.5.6 Leopard Installer

- Gives me a complete install but freezes on the white screen with grey apple.

-If I try to change the configuration by chosing any of the "extras" to install, I get a message during installation, telling me that the data is not found.

JaS 10.5.6 AMD/Intel SSe2 & SSe3 Server/Client Insteller

- The installation NEVER finishes.

- I keep getting this message: "The installer coild not validate the contents of the 'Base System' package. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

- Also will not let me change the install configuration.

NOTE: JaS 10.4.8 AMD/Intel installer works perfectly on my system.

Here are my specs

----------------------

abit LG-95Z motherboard

(3 GHz)

CPU

-LGA775 socket for Intel

-Pentium Dual-Core/Pentium D/Pentium 4/ Celeron D processor with 800 MHz FSB

-Supports Intel Hyper-Threading technology

RAM

-1gb

Graphics

- Nvidia GeForce FX 5500

Chipset

-Intel 945GZ / ICH7

...Should I try a different installer disc? I figured, since the JaS installer for 10.4.8 worked that the JaS installer for 10.5.6 would also work. I still have that disc image ready just in case someone thinks I should burn another copy. Which installer is reccomended for my setup?

I'm trying to install to a IDE hard drive. I just dont have the money to run out and pick up a SATA drive. Last night I decided to try and install 10.4.8 then use the XxX OS X86 10.5.6 disc as a updater and the latter part did not work. It has to have been at least 20 tries over the past two days and I'm drawing blanks. Sure I could go back to using Tiger but that defeats the purpose of trying to get Leopard onto my system. I just dont know what to do anymore.
