djgray88
Hey Guys, Wondering if anyone has had this problem in the past. I had a search but couldn't find anything. Basically I've been running kalyway stable for a long time now updated to 10.5.6. After the initial install I had this problem but solved it just by removing a stick to take me to 3GB. Now I need more ram though. What happens is when I use more than 3GB of ram I get the computer must shut down screen. I believe I'm using a 64bit kernel and OS X can see all 6GB of ram in the activity monitor. It's just once the OS goes above 3GB of ram in use I get the screen. Any ideas? EDIT: Guess I should add I'm running a q6600 on a gigabyte DS3 mobo. tj01
No ideas? Anyone? Do you have any IDE harddisk, if yes, try remove ( or get a SATA convertor ).
