bonesinc
Hi all, I've been trying to get Quartz Extreme working for almost 3 days and now I've got to admit: I need help! I build a new hackintosh system with the following (relevant) components: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3 (latest bios F8) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Memory: 2x 2GB DDR2 800 Graphics: Club3D Nvidia 8400GS 512MB Passive Cooling (Device ID: 0x0422) Hard drive and Optical drive both are SATA OS: Vanilla OS X 10.5.7 on GUID Partition while booting from EFI partition on same drive, using Chameleon (EFI-Boot-i386). I've installed all relevant Kexts I could think of: From this thread: UUID.kext LegacyIOAHCIBlockStorage.kext AppleUSBEHCI.kext Disabler.kext dsmos.kext From this thread: OpenHaltRestart.kext JMicronATA.kext Right now I'm using NVinject.kext (ver. 0.2.1) for graphics (no QE). I tried NVinject, NVDarwin, Natit, NVkush and EFI strings but I can't figure out why I don't have Quartz Extreme. The 8400GS card does support QE because it was working on my previous hackintosh (iDeneb 1.4 on Asus M2N-E SLI + AMD) and I even tested it on my new rig by temporarely installing iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6). Because the 8400GS was working in QE with iDeneb 1.4, I used the NVinject.kext from that install with my Vanilla 10.5.7 install. Unfortunately NO QE! I don't get it. What am I missing here?
