the mobo is an intel 915 gvwb.

i bought it back in 05, when the marklar-tiger img ( can someone say deadmoo )was being played around with and then 10.4.1, because it was very close to the dev's hardware.

it's been in use by my bro since then (non mac os x ) and now i have it back. i have tried several different distros to no avail.

other specs

pentium 4 "630" cpu

80gb wd sata hd

intel gma 900 video

ide dvd burner

i could use some help...maybe i am not ticking the right boxes or ticking too many.

I had kalyway 10.5.1 running on a dell gx280 which is an 915 chipset if that helps

and also there's a fix for the graphics, just search the forums for gma900

i have kalyway 10.5.2, but there's a couple things i am not sure about...

hyper threading disabled or enabled?

cpus=1 flag?

i think i have the gma 900 fix, but will i be able to install it after the install?

guid or mbr option when partitioning with disk utility at the beginning of the install?

i have no problem installing it on my older dell e1505 laptop or my current desktop...in fact i have iDeneb's 10.5.6 updated to 10.5.7 on my desktop right now, which looks fantastic and everything works
