It uses a hybrid sli between a 9400M + GTX 260M or GTX 260M or GTX 280M SLI... Here are the specs I am getting: QX9300 Quad Core EXTREME Processor Dual GTX 260M's in SLI 4GB 1066 RAM 1TB (2x500gb 7200rpm raid0) thats about it... does anyone know if this hardware will work in OSX? OnePlane Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 What motherboard, and chipset? How will you connect to the internet? The RAM and HDD's will work, the video card(s) might or might not. SLI won't. CPU will work, but you might need to edit some strings to have it show up nicely. Without the motherboard we can't get anywhere. I also am looking this: Sager NP9850 | QX9300 | 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 | GTX 280M SLI | 128GB OCZ Vertex SSD | 1TB 2x500GB 7200RPM RAID0 | X-Glass TFT Full-HD 1920x1080 They use the same insides and I already had to purchase an OS X compatible wireless card so it should work in both the laptops... the motherboard in both of these laptops is MCP79... umm the GTX 280M and 260M are G92m Graphics cards and they are not truely GT200M... Would that bit of information help as to whether one of the cards work? what mod would i have to apply to get my processor to show up as Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX9300? The 9400m Will work But switching graphics card Should work.
