FruitRocks
I downloaded iATKOS v7 today and I've had a nightmare with it. I've tried a few different burning programs like Alchohol 120%, Nero 9, ImgBurn, etc. So far I've wasted 10 DVDS on it, plus one DVD+DL I burn the ISO at about 2.4x speed, or sometimes 4x speed. When I insert the disc and boot into verbose mode, it always stops at "FireWire error." My PC has FireWire on it, but I never use it (:. Is there someway how I can take it out? What is this error? iATKOS can successfully recognize my video card (nvidia geforce 8400 GS 256 Megabytes), but after that it bascially fails after the error, and then gives the the famous "Still Waiting on Root Device." The same thing happens with Leo4all v3, Jas Mac OS X 10.4.8, JaS Mac OS X Server 10.5.4, iPC 10.5.6, iATKOS v4a, and the only one that I can successfully install it with is Kalyway 10.5.2. Amazingly all of these images work perfectly fine in VMWARE Workstation 6.5. AM I doing something wrong? thetrent
Try disabling firewire in the bios. It might be called 1394 or something similar. Burning 10 DVDs was a pretty bad idea Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173203-iatkos-v7/#findComment-1190395 Share on other sites
