bonfilio
I have a 750a AMD board with 8gb. I have installed and run retail Leopard (boot132 - voodoo 9.5) w/o issue other than needing to use maxmem (both for install and booting). Without maxmem, Darwin will fully boot but beachballs as soon as the verbose text switches to GUI. USB, AHCI/SATA, Net, Audio (ext usb) and 1394 are all using vanilla/retail drivers. IDE and onboard sound disabled. I'm using exactly 3 kext's on my boot132 CD for a successful install and boot. System, Disabler and the dsofwhichwedonotspeak. No Jmicron, no Nforce, no graphics, etc. While there are 64bit addressing issues with certain kexts (nfsata), this makes me wonder if there isn't something going on with the kernel, at least on the amd side of things? In all of my searching, the only threads I've run across with 6-8gb of ram are Intel/stock kernel installs. Anyone?
